What's the difference between 150V HVDC and Adjustable DC output? Follow
Omnicharge's 150V HVDC and Adjustable DC are both Direct Current, but come from different ports.
- The 150V HVDC shares the same three-prong outlet with 120V AC and it can ONLY support limited devices such as switch-mode power supplies (SMPS, such as Apple's power adaptors for MacBook Pro/Air) because the DC would pass through the rectifier inside unchanged. And because of that, it has higher efficiency compared to 120V AC.
- Adjustable DC output shares the same 5.5 x 2.1mm barrel port with DC input. It supports most consumer electronics such as your laptops, DSLRs and ham radio stations and can adjust output voltage with 0.1V accuracy to fit different requirements.
