Troubleshooting DC output Follow

1. Make sure your laptop's power consumption falls within Omnicharge's 100 watts (5V-25V, up to 5A) DC output limit.

Click here to read about how to calculate your laptop's rated power consumption.

2. Make sure you have set the correct DC output voltage on your Omnicharge.

Click here to read about how to set up DC output on your Omnicharge.

If you have followed two steps above but DC output still doesn't work, then it should be the special signal/sensor chip that is required for your specific laptop that causes this compatibility issue.

Some manufacturers put an extra signal/sensor chip in their product's power adaptor containing the identification info of the power adapter so that it can only work with designated models.

It's a safety design to make sure some inferior third-party power adapters won't damage your laptop. However, this also causes compatibility issues since Omnicharge's DC output cables and converter tips can't cover all the signal/sensor chip designs across different brands and models.

If this happens, please use Omnicharge's AC outlet instead of the DC output function to charge your laptop. Contact us at support@omnicharge.co and our support staff will do their best to find an alternative solution.
